MindGrid Books publishes puzzle books and illustrated educational books through Amazon, in paperback and several also on Kindle. There are nineteen titles so far, in four lines: sudoku, chess, American facts and trivia, and geography for children. This site is the catalogue for all of them.
The books are designed rather than compiled. Puzzle counts, grid sizes, trim sizes and how many puzzles sit on a page are all decisions made per title, because those are the things that determine whether a book is actually usable — a large print book is large print because of its layout, not because of the words on its cover.
What we publish
Sudoku — ten titles
Six for adults, graded by difficulty and by format, and four for children, graded by grid size. See all sudoku books.
Chess — two titles
Tactical puzzle collections: one for adult beginners and one for children, both built around positions rather than theory.
US facts and trivia — three titles
Question-and-fact books on American history, the country and the fifty states, written for families as much as for solo readers.
Geography for kids — four titles
Full-color atlases and guides: the flags of 193 countries, the fifty states, the twenty regions of Italy and fifty places in Israel. See all geography books for kids.
How the books are built
- Every puzzle book carries its complete solutions or a full answer key at the back, numbered to match the puzzles
- Children's books are graded by what the child has to do — grid size in sudoku, reading level in the geography titles — rather than by age alone
- Trim size is chosen per book: 8.5 × 11 where grids need room, 5 × 8 where the book has to fit a pocket
- Two of the geography titles, The 20 Regions of Italy and 50 Must-See Attractions in Israel, form the Geography Facts for Kids series
- Six books come with a free companion activity or quiz pack, reached through a link printed inside the book and sent by email from this site
Where to find us
Every title is sold through Amazon, and the full list lives on the MindGrid Books author page. Individual book pages on this site link directly to their own Amazon listing.
We also write guides for parents and puzzle buyers — how to pick a first sudoku book, how to choose geography books by age, and what to do with them once you have them. Those are on the blog.
What we collect when you visit, and what happens if you sign up for a bonus pack, is set out in full on the privacy page.
